Parks and Recreation

There are four public parks in the village of Dobbs Ferry:

Gould Park, situated on eight acres, offers playing fields, a field house, a swimming pool, a wading pool, and a well-equipped children's playground.

Memorial Park, comprising more than three acres, offers playing fields, a field house, a wading pool, and a children's playground.

Waterfront Park, situated on the east bank of the Hudson River, offers breathtaking views of the Palisades from more than four acres of well-manicured grounds, picnic areas with barbecues, and a children's playground.

With the Tappan Zee Bridge to the north and the George Washington Bridge to the south, one can see panoramic sights as well as spectacular sunsets all year long. The Juhring Estate encompasses more than 75 acres of undisturbed land with hiking and nature trails.

The old -- and now abandoned -- Croton Aqueduct provides miles of walking, jogging, and bike riding trails, both to the north and south of the village, with views of the Hudson, the Palisades, and the surrounding communities.

There are numerous public and private golf courses and several boat clubs located in the greater Westchester area with many available to the public.

The Dobbs Ferry Department of Recreation is responsible for maintaining all of the parks and administers an active recreation program for residents of all age groups.
