DesignSite™ Opens on World Wide Web

New Internet Site for architects and designers offers design-related information, products

Susan Bilenker, principal of Susan Bilenker Communications, today announced the opening of DesignSite™, a collection of information resources for architects, designers, and allied professionals, located at URL http://www.atsrc.com/des-site on the Internet's World Wide Web. "Since creative professionals are often diversified in their passions and pursuits, DesignSite offers an interactive menu of resources and ideas, so individual designers can follow their own interests," said Ms. Bilenker. "This Web site features specialized services and products that designers probably won't find in design magazines or in the piles of product literature that fill up their in-boxes." DesignSite is organized into subject categories that include Consultants, Artisans, Designers Market-Link™ (marketing and publicity resources), Art Resources, Home Furnishings, and Internet Services (for setting up a home page on DesignSite).

Design professionals can use DesignSite in three ways. They can:

1) Access the resources in DesignSite by visiting often and requesting DesignSite publications that interest them,

2) Include their services and/or products in DesignSite by establishing their own home page at DesignSite,

3) Suggest resources to include in DesignSite by sharing information about favorite consultants, artisans, home furnishings sources and designers, art consultants and decorative arists. (E-mail suggestions to Susan Bilenker at 102164.2377@compuserve.com or phone 914-478-3514.)

Susan Bilenker Communications will support and encourage Net "surfers" to visit DesignSite by

a) notifying relevant Internet directories and mailing lists about DesignSite and keeping them up to date on changes and additions to the site,

b) sending news releases about DesignSite resources and activities to editors and reporters at relevant design and media publications, and

c) publishing and distributing the DesignSite newsletter to architects, designers, and visitors to DesignSite who request it

d) creating "good links" to other design-related Web sites.

Design professionals who establish home pages on DesignSite will receive, upon their request, regular reports on the number of visits made to their page at DesignSite.
